Well! Harvester v1.6.0 just got released and IT’S A YUGE UPDATE (SOME MAY SAY THE BIGGEST UPDATE).
I was excited to log into my server, see the “Upgrade” button in the top right of my dashboard, and get started. Sadly the upgrade responder has not pushed it out my way yet.
Luckily there is a way to force the upgrade and its really simple.
Go to the release page and copy the link to the release YAML: https://releases.rancher.com/harvester/v1.6.0/version.yaml
Navigate to Harvester and hit the “~” key on your keyboard.
In the kubectl shell, type:
kubectl apply -f https://releases.rancher.com/harvester/v1.6.0/version.yaml And the “Upgrade” button should appear momentarily.
And just like that, I am in business.
Like I said, this release is a big one. I will put my thoughts on it in another blog post.
