What is Google Bard?
we live in an AI society
Well, well, well, Sundar brought the heat today. Google just announced their brand new competitor to ChatGPT. Enter Google Bard.
Bard - a tribal poet-singer skilled in composing and reciting verses on heroes and their deeds.

It’s a clever name for a clever product. Let’s dive in and take a look at the newest AI kid on the block.
We’ve been working on an experimental conversational AI service, powered by LaMDA, that we’re calling Bard. And today, we’re taking another step forward by opening it up to trusted testers ahead of making it more widely available to the public in the coming weeks.

For once in their lifespan, Google was caught behind the eight ball when it came to deploying an AI product. Language models are all the rage at the moment. Heck, even I now use the Open API to write tweets for me.
With the introduction of Bard, Google is looking to completely revamp itself. Bard will be integrated in Google Search and will more than likely take the internet by storm (I don’t care, I use Bing).
Next month, we’ll start onboarding individual developers, creators and enterprises so they can try our Generative Language API, initially powered by LaMDA with a range of models to follow.

Although not much is known at the moment about Bard, it might be worth looking over their blog post announcing the release. You can do that here.
I look forward to the chaos that will ensue.
Cheers,
Joe
