Questions I have 2 Rasp Pi both running Adgaurd. Primary and secondary. Does it matter where I install unbound? Meaning could I create a VM and run it in there and point both adguard instances to it or does it need to be installed on the Rasp pi that has Adguard.

Actually ISP can see your traffic by using DPI.
They cannot, as it is run through VPN tunnel.
Only the DNS provider and NSA/CIA can see it who share it with the Five Eyes countries.
Thats why I chose Yandex as DNS provider.
Not sure that all ISPs use deep packet inspection. Do you know which ones do?
Question, if using Unbound, is it necessary to remove the "https://dns10.quad9.net/dns-query" entry? Desirable?
ie should there be only 1x entry??
I just comment it out with #.
So the line will look like:
#https://dns10.quad9.net/dns-query
