I think this is blog worthy.

"what types of clusters run best on harvester and rancher." and discuss volume sizes, node os choice, pool. Relation and sizes etc.

IT WORKED!!!!

Thank you! I've been fighting proxmox and rancher on and off for a week.

Wiping it all and using Harvester took an hour and is far more efficient.

All but the networking in part 1 was still up to date.

I'd also love to see part 3 :)

What I find a bit odd is that rancher is not running directly on the Kubernetes cluster of Harvester, but in another VM.

coolio Joe. It will be nice if SUSE can 'wrangle' (hehe) the Rancher Labs team into producing a coherent set of documentation... specifically the rancher/harvester integration. I truly think it will evolve to be a vmware killer and I still have faith in them but it's a spaghetti mess right now.

Trust me, I know. Their documentation is lacking.

Really excited to see where the project goes though.

Where is part 3? I have never been able to get an RKE2 kubernetes cluster provisioned on harvester and SUSE is not responding to an issue I posted on github nor in their slack forums.

You're right. I need to get part 3 out. It's been busy on my end. Currently running Proxmox 7.4 on my server but I will switch back over to Harvester at the next release.

Are you accessing the rancher dashboard via the IP address of the Rancher instance?
